I have had the 460 for about a month now. It is a wonderful machine to exercise on. My Wife and I use it at least once per day and we find that it is smooth and easy to use. The variable stride makes all the difference. We tried other Elliptical Trainers that do not have that feature and they were harder for my Wife to use, since she is only 5 feet tall.
Assembly of the machine took about three hours at an easy pace. It was not too complicated. It was comforting to me that all the complicated mechanisms and all the electronics were allready assembled. Therefore, really all “assembly” consisted of was to bolt the chasis together and bolt on the features. I downloaded the detailed assembly manual from [...].
The machine pedals stand about 8 inches off the ground. We found that an old 4 inch aerobic step next to the machine (”The Step” which we bought on Amazon) provided a great small step that makes the machine easier to use. “The Step” is the same color gray as the 460 and actually looks like it was designed to be used with it. It does not interfere with the pedals at all and it makes it much easier for my Wife to use.
I’d recommend the Schwinn 460 to anyone.

We’ve had this machine up and running since after Christmas. It’s quite smooth, the strides seem to work well for both myself (5′4″) and my husband (5′11″).

So far this product has met or exceeded my expectation. Item arrived intact, no damage. Instructions made it easy to assemble. Took about two hours. Using the elliptical it works as described as well as the electronics. It seems to have been well built and I anticipate getting several years of use from it.
